One day, Deer heard Great Spirit calling from Sacred Mountain. She went to go visit Great Spirit, but didn’t realize there was a demon guarding the way. The Demon was trying to get power by blocking all of the animals from visiting Great Spirit. When Deer encountered the Demon, she gently asked to pass, stating she was on her way to see Great Spirit. The Demon tried to scare Deer, but the Deer saw past the scariness of the Demon and just watched him with compassion and love. No matter how much the demon tried, he could not scare of the Deer. Her gentle approach and love she held for the Demon despite his scare tactics warmed his heart and soon his scary outer shell began to melt away. Now the path is clear for all animals to reach Scared Mountain. The deer is a gentle and kind guide, reminding us to be kind with ourselves and gentle with life’s adversities. The deer teaches us to walk our path with grace and determination.

When calling upon what energy to put in this dream weaver, the card pulled was Androgyne. The Androgyne is typically seen as a perfect balance between masculine and feminine energy, however, it is much more than that. It represents the infinite spectrum and is ever changing in non-binary forms. This represents a state of non-judgement and fluidity, a release of labels to allow for the flow between the heavens and the creative mysteries of the underworld. The ability to hold all of the complexities of the soul as the embodied artist. As you start on your new venture, you too have a multitude of talents, gifts, and offerings for the world.
